Meet Sophie Priolo and Lucas Priolo, the brother and sister team carrying on the legacy of fine jewelry at Bon Air. Under their stewardship, Johann Paul Fine Jewelry continues as a family-owned boutique with the next generation of new owners. The Priolo family’s decades-long friendship with Johann and Paul led the siblings to buy the business and carry on the legacy of the Johann Paul name. The doors to Johann Paul Fine Jewelry re-opened in April with a beautiful, fresh look.
The Priolo siblings are third generation jewelers following their grandfather and father into the fine jewelry business, albeit on a slightly di!erent path. Sophie and Lucas are both classically trained ballet dancers. Growing up in Fairfax, they studied ballet for decades and danced on stages around the world before retiring and following their parents into the jewelry business. Their father Carl began in the wholesale jewelry business in the 1960’s. He and his wife, Susan, opened Sofia Jewelry (named for Sophie) in 1994 in downtown Mill Valley, which Sophie and Lucas formally took ownership of a few years ago and continue to run in it’s original location.
This next chapter of Johann Paul Fine Jewelry is the siblings own venture and their passion. They will carry many familiar lines, while adding new favorites. They will continue to operate as a full service jewelry store, re-creating custom pieces from heirlooms, while o!ering classic and contemporary jewelry and specializing in bridal couture pieces. Please stop in, see the beautiful store and welcome Sophie, Lucas and manager Stephen to the Bon Air Family. Watch for their grand opening Mother’s Day weekend Friday, May 7th and Saturday May 8th.
